Madcap Cottage Unveils the Newest Collection

Madcap Cottage Unveils the Newest Collection wjfigw4q3

Full of worldly charm, the sophisticated–yet unpretentious–designs of the newest collection from Madcap Cottage have arrived. Teaming up with Robert Allen Fabrics, designers John Loecke and Jason Oliver Nixon traveled the world for inspiration and style trends to influence their latest designs in “A Collector’s Eye.” Known for their whimsical style statements and fun-filled color schemes, their collaboration brought us last year’s “Into the Garden,” which captured the tranquility of summertime relaxation, garden florals and countryside designs. “A Collector’s Eye” captivates with alluring designs that speak of distant cultures, featuring a medley of fabrics with unlimited potential for your home decor.

Jodhpur

Madcap Cottage Indian culture
World travel influences the designs in this culturally significant fabric from Madcap Cottage. Set against the backdrop of the Indian desert, the city of Jodhpur features Indian culture, palaces and beautiful sunshine. Nicknamed the “Blue City” due to many of the homes painted in shades of blue, we can see layers of color throughout the fabrics in this globally chic pattern, shown here in Ocean.

Colony Club

Madcap Cottage colony club
Reminiscent of the rich interiors of New York City’s Colony Club, this turn of the century fabric offers a feeling of prestigious design in intense colors. The vintage look of this fabric–available in contemporary shades–is the perfect blend of the past-meets-present callout of this collection, shown here in Strawberry.

Road to Canton

Madcap Cottage chinese inspired fabric
There’s no better way to showcase cultural design than with the imitation of Chinese motifs through Chinoisserie. Depicting storytelling and life from centuries ago, these patterns are full of historical nostalgia. The animals and floral life of Canton Island in the South Pacific are full of color in this lagoon-inspired artistic pattern, shown here in Marrakech Green.

It’s a Madcap Cottage World!

We are so excited to see what we can do with these fabrics! We love how the color schemes allow you to mix and match patterns for your own individual style. The best part about Madcap Cottage is that the designers don’t create their textiles to fit any one project. There’s no “boxing in” of this collection. They create from the imagination, influenced by the world around them–and across the globe. That means, what looks great as an accent pillow fabric and pattern to you might look fabulous as custom draperies in another home. Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder with “A Collector’s Eye.”

At the onset of every season comes the new styles, trends and designs you can expect. We wait with exciting anticipation to see the inspiration that’s behind the upcoming announcements. This year, it’s the enchanting color of nature! As fall approaches, some of the leading names in design influence have already come forward with defining colors, textures and trends in interior design. Sherwin Williams recently announced their pick for color of the year: Poised Taupe. Described as weathered, like the charm of vintage wood, this color takes cues from the nostalgia of nature. From the sophisticated genius of Robert Allen Design, we love one of their newest collections, Enchanting Colors. Full of the inspiration of nature and fall, this collection embodies the colors, textures and patterns you’re sure to see throughout every design trend in the upcoming season. Categorized into four colorways, each fabric collection holds it’s own in personality and style.

Inspired by Rose Quartz, one of Pantone’s color of the year 2016, blush is right on trend. Sweet and light, with calls out to nature, this serene color is used as the new neutral. Blush brings a soft, airy look to design. Easily paired with darker colors for one-of-a-kind style, the quiet patterns and textures will add dimension without overwhelming the space.

Like the undertones of pine trees, blues come out in soothing shades with a slight hint of green. The inspiration of Blue Pine brings a range of beautiful hues, some with the infusion of smoky mist, all the way to the richness of peacock. The damask pattern of this fabric adds a stylish design with an optical illusion feel.

shades of blue and gray enchanting colorEnchanting Color: Twilight

Peaceful, quiet…the hush that falls over nature’s landscape. Twilight comes to us twice–just after the sun has fully set, and just before it rises. Twilight offers shades of blues and grays, depending on surrounding influences. As is with this fabric collection, blues and grays are in the eye of the beholder. Some are darker, some are lighter. All will surely offer eye-catching design.
