Not that it’s stressful – far from it – but here at Metropolitan Window Fashions, we strive to make these selections as easy and fun as possible.

Metropolitan has the largest fabric selection of any retail design center in NJ.  We have samples in our store of over 50,000 fabrics.  We have hundreds of in-stock fabrics at discounted prices at our Greenbrook flagship location.  We also have access to another 200,000 fabrics from the worlds leading design houses.  You know the names of Schumacher, Scalamandre, Thibaut, Kravet, Fabricut and more.  Listed below are most of the companies we have access to along with a short description of their company:

  • Donghia is an American brand of decoration for furniture, textiles, lighting, and accessories. Italian-American interior designer Angelo Donghia founded Donghia in 1968. Angelo Donghia’s philosophy is -“I want people to feel gorgeous and beautiful in their surroundings”.

  • Fabricut Inc. is a family-run and employee-owned company, devoted to creating a single source for fabrics, trimmings, decorative drapery hardware, wallcoverings, furniture, rugs and more to the interior design trade.     In 1902 Samuel Kravet, a tailor from Russia, arrives in the United States and starts tailoring for New York City’s wealthy community. In 1918 S.Kravet & Sons is founded with Samuel Kravet’s four sons — Morris, Sam, Sol and Hy — selling fabric and trimmings to the interior design trade. Today the fifth Generation is involved in the company.

  • Larsen draws inspiration from textile traditions throughout the world, using traditional and modern weaving methods. Lee Jofa can trace its history back to the early 19th century with the partnership of Johnson and Faulkner (shortened to Jofa fabric) importing fine decorative fabrics to the US including many famous designs that remain with the company today. With its acquisition in 1965 by Arthur H Lee & Sons, famous for ground-breaking weaving techniques, an alliance was formed producing fabrics considered to be some of the most luxurious in the world.
