It's been a long winter in New York, but we've finally made it to spring! It's time to say goodbye to the piles of snow and lifeless trees in favor of green grass, bright flowers and of course vibrant colors! Try spicing up your home's interior with the exquisite spring palette selected by Pantone Color Institute. These shades will certainly take your space from drab to fab!

  • Cayenne: "Cayenne, as the name implies is a spicy red that adds a bit of drama to the spring colors," writes Jen Wallace of Ecosalon. "It is the color of a southwestern or southern Californian sunset–one part orange and one part red. If you want to go bold use cayenne on an accent wall or for window treatments. Cayenne is spring 2014's statement red."
  • Celosia orange: Pops of orange will certainly spice up your living room. Since this hue is so bold you can use it in small doses by purchasing an orange lamp or similar accessory.
  • Freesia: Freesia is the color of sunshine or a bouquet full of daffodils. It's a bright and cheery shade that is sure to put a smile on your face! The great thing about this hue is that it can be used as an accent or even on a larger scale if you're feeling especially peppy. Try brightening your living room by adding yellow throw pillows to your couch. Or, place a yellow vase on your end table and fill is with springtime flowers.
