California cutie Lauren Conrad has a lot on her plate this spring. The former MTV star is busy designing clothes for her fashion line while preparing to walk down the aisle with her fiancé William Tell. However, this hasn't stopped her from hosting get-togethers with her best friends.

"I've been really busy, but I enjoy cooking. It's nice to spend 30 minutes to an hour just having a drink, making dinner and listening to music," the former reality star tells Us weekly. "It's my wind-down for the day."

• Spruce up your house: Before you invite guests into your home, you're going to want to make sure that your pad is in tip-top shape. Be sure to vacuum your house or apartment and polish any furniture that has been collecting dust.
