There are so many variables, since these are bespoke products, but a good guideline is that custom shades and blinds cost between $200 and $800 for a single window. Add another $400-500 if you want them motorized. Custom draperies generally run between $500-$2000 per window.
In our flagship Green Brook showroom, we have in-stock products starting at $50 for shades and $100 for draperies. Limited sizes and fabrics.
YES! We have NJ’s largest selection of fabrics, over 70,000 to choose from – but if that is not enough, you are welcome to bring your own.
Quite simply, because they don’t do the work. They subcontract the work out to multiple third parties – one for sales, one for installation, plus the store staff – all of which leads to confusion, mistakes and higher prices because of all the kickbacks being paid.
Never. As long as you live in one of the 11 northern most counties in NJ. See our territory listing on our website.
There are many good options, but it is important to know that one product may not be enough. Think about a hotel room. Typically they have a room darkening shade along with room darkening drapery panels and maybe even a cornice or other top treatment. The reason for this is that light is like water, it will find a way into the smallest opening. We have many room darkening shades, but there will always be a small light gap between the shade and the window. Room darkening draperies or track systems are the best option for a complete room darkening solution.
A properly insulated window can save 15% on your annual energy bill. Just like with room darkening, layering is the best solution. The best insulation shades are Architella Double Honeycomb shades from Hunter Douglas. The only shade in the market to qualify for the $1200 Federal Tax Credit. Add to that a layer of lined, insulated draperies and you will be cozy all winter. The same products will keep the heat out and the AC inside in the summer.
