Help your home keep its resolutions in the New Year–and probably one of your own–by following Kondo’s advice. Take away things that are causing grief, frustration and guilt. Surround yourself with beauty, memories, style and joy. Don’t feel overwhelmed by organization–take it a little at a time. Start with your sock drawer, and go from there. Give yourself kudos for tackling small projects, and before long, your home will be more organized than when you started, and you’ll feel better, too. Set a small goal for yourself to go to the gym more times next week than you did this week.
