Madcap Cottage Unveils the Newest Collection

Madcap Cottage Unveils the Newest Collection wjfigw4q3

Full of worldly charm, the sophisticated–yet unpretentious–designs of the newest collection from Madcap Cottage have arrived. Teaming up with Robert Allen Fabrics, designers John Loecke and Jason Oliver Nixon traveled the world for inspiration and style trends to influence their latest designs in “A Collector’s Eye.” Known for their whimsical style statements and fun-filled color schemes, their collaboration brought us last year’s “Into the Garden,” which captured the tranquility of summertime relaxation, garden florals and countryside designs. “A Collector’s Eye” captivates with alluring designs that speak of distant cultures, featuring a medley of fabrics with unlimited potential for your home decor.

Jodhpur

Madcap Cottage Indian culture
World travel influences the designs in this culturally significant fabric from Madcap Cottage. Set against the backdrop of the Indian desert, the city of Jodhpur features Indian culture, palaces and beautiful sunshine. Nicknamed the “Blue City” due to many of the homes painted in shades of blue, we can see layers of color throughout the fabrics in this globally chic pattern, shown here in Ocean.

Colony Club

Madcap Cottage colony club
Reminiscent of the rich interiors of New York City’s Colony Club, this turn of the century fabric offers a feeling of prestigious design in intense colors. The vintage look of this fabric–available in contemporary shades–is the perfect blend of the past-meets-present callout of this collection, shown here in Strawberry.

Road to Canton

Madcap Cottage chinese inspired fabric
There’s no better way to showcase cultural design than with the imitation of Chinese motifs through Chinoisserie. Depicting storytelling and life from centuries ago, these patterns are full of historical nostalgia. The animals and floral life of Canton Island in the South Pacific are full of color in this lagoon-inspired artistic pattern, shown here in Marrakech Green.

It’s a Madcap Cottage World!

We are so excited to see what we can do with these fabrics! We love how the color schemes allow you to mix and match patterns for your own individual style. The best part about Madcap Cottage is that the designers don’t create their textiles to fit any one project. There’s no “boxing in” of this collection. They create from the imagination, influenced by the world around them–and across the globe. That means, what looks great as an accent pillow fabric and pattern to you might look fabulous as custom draperies in another home. Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder with “A Collector’s Eye.”

Find yourself browsing through the fabrics, and we know you’ll get lost in a blissful daydream of design. The patterns, prints and colors create a world of excitement. Think…custom draperies, upholstery, accent pillows, bedding…the possibilities are limitless, and we love how the fabrics can mix and match for a truly custom look. With colors named for landmarks of spring and summer, like Daffodil, Rhubarb and Palm, how can you go wrong?

Isleboro Eve

Taking the savory depth of blue to the world of florals, Isleboro Eve, in the summery shade of “Pool” makes a statement! Shades of blue are among the most popular colors to use in home decor, and the richness of turquoise creates an exhilerating look. The large floral pattern would look amazing as custom draperies, framing your windows. Also available in Oyster and Rhubarb.

Cove End

Like the lattice surrounding springtime gardens, the geometric design of Cove End “Indigo” combines structure with excitement for a unique look. The imperfect pattern allows for chic charm, while the drama of this color scheme will add a sophisticated accent for your home decor. Paired well with white-washed furniture, the cottage-chic styling of this fabric would be a terrific choice for custom draperies or bedding. Also available in Daffodil, Palm, and Rhubarb.

Mill Reef

Droplets of rain in springtime…a gentle reminder that blooming flowers are on the way. Full of intrigue and fun, this Mill Reef fabric is shown in the watery blues of summer, adequately named “Pool”. Bring color to your space with this charming fabric in accent pillows, upholstery and custom draperies. Using similar colors in contrasting patterns from the same collection of fabrics is a great way to add upscale design to your home. Also available in Rhubarb, Indigo and Palm.

Mirador Morn

Landscapes and cultural influences always inspire design. Mirador Morn is a combination of both English and Spanish origin–unique florals viewed from the English Countryside that will add a beautiful contrast of colors to your custom draperies, upholstery or bedding. It’s the perfect balance of intensity and whimsical design. The blooms on this fabric are added to the “Lagoon” background which gives a rich, beautiful crisp backdrop for the glazed whites and greens of the florals. The look is as refreshing as it is timeless. Also available in Oyster and Celadon.
