Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Nazarena has lived in Somerset County for the past twenty years with her husband and their two sons.

She attended architecture school at the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo where, upon graduation, went to work for a company specializing in residential architecture and kitchen design. Nazarena later studied jewelry design at the School of Visual Arts in New York.

She began her home decorating career at Metropolitan Window Fashions nineteen years ago - selling decorator fabrics and doing in-store displays. With the experience she gained, Nazarena became a Certified Window Treatment Consultant through a program sponsored by Window Coverings Association of America. She also completed course work through the Interior Design Society. In 1997, Nazarena was awarded "Decorator of the Year" and has continued to remain a top performer at Metropolitan Window Fashions for the past ten years. She has honed her skills with extensive product training from Hunter Douglas on shades, blinds and shutters. She is also trained as a Benjamin Moore color specialist and regularly attends trade programs on the newest fabrics and styles in today’s window coverings market.

Nazarena credits her excellent sense of style and her capability of translating her clients' 'dreams' into reality as her greatest decorating strength. She uses color and texture to create an interesting mix of window fashion styles and tries to incorporate both 'hard' shades, blinds or shutters with 'soft' draperies and top treatments.

The Caribbean and old cities are Nazarena's favorite vacation spots … and when she's not decorating beautiful windows, she can be found reading about the history of art, exploring old homes and designing her own collection of jewelry.

Nazarena has done beautiful work in Warren, Basking Ridge, Somerset, Westfield, Scotch Plains, Watchung, Bridgewater, Green Brook, Martinsville, Berkeley Heights, Piscataway, Plainfield, Summit, Chatham, Chester and Morristown.
